"Midi Delay" does many of the same things as a hardware digital delay and more. I tried to keep much of the same terminology that a hardware digital delay would use so that the program can be intuitively used right away by someone who has used a hardware digital delay. In this working demo version of Midi Delay the user gets five seconds of delay time, and ten repeats (feedback) on the main delay and two multitap delay sections that allow five seconds of delay time and the ability to send the taps on different midi channels and/or midi instruments. In this demo version the multitap section can be fed to the main delay for further processing and cool looping effects just like the real version. The demo version also supports Apple's Quicktime Musical Instruments v2.0 and higher as an output source.
If you order the real version of Midi Delay you will get fifteen seconds of delay time, ten thousand repeats on the main delay and a multitap section with sixteen taps. Each tap has fifteen seconds of delay time and can be set to it's own individual midi channel and/or midi instrument. As a registered user you will also be made aware of new versions. Some new items that will be added to "Midi Delay" in the future are transposed delay, the ability to repeat pitch bent notes with the pitch bend applied to the repeated notes, a harmonizer section and the ability to modulate repeated notes.
I have used the help screens from the real version of Midi Delay 2.0, so don't be mislead when it says that you can set the feedback to ten thousand or the delay time to fifteen seconds. The only way to get the full fifteen seconds of delay time, sixteen taps and ten thousand repeats is to register.
This is the third version of Midi Delay to be put out as shareware, but this version is far superior to prior versions. There are many new features and all of the bugs have been fixed including the dreaded sticking notes bug. Many hours of work went into this program and I think you'll find it to be a useful and musical tool.
